'Online Offertory' – A Message from the Rector

May
23

My dear friends,

Thank you for your wonderful support of the Parish of Esher. Thank you that you are finding new ways to reach-out to each other and to those in need in our community. As Her Majesty the Queen said recently, ‘our streets are not empty, they are filled with the love and the care that we have for each other.’ Every act of kindness, every offer of practical support, and every prayer offered for others is a reflection of the divine light which enlightens us all.

New Rector instituted at Esher Parish

Mar
25

In the presence of just a handful of people, but surrounded by the prayers and best wishes of the parish family, the Revd Darren McCallig was instituted as the new Rector of Esher on Monday evening (23 March).

Once the customary declarations and oaths had been made, The Right Revd Dr Jo Bailey Wells, Bishop of Dorking, read the text of the Deed of Institution aloud and handed the document to Darren with the words, “receive the cure of souls which is both yours and mine, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.”
