Advent prayer series starting tomorrow

Welcome to our Advent prayer group.

Advent is one of the most chaotic times of the year and it is very easy to forget what Christmas is all about, or rather, who it is about. So, from 1st-24th December we will be publishing a daily prayer idea/activity and a prayer starter. The idea is to try and help us to make space amongst the mayhem every day, by stopping and thinking about and being with God. How and when you pray is up to you - and remember, there is no right or wrong way to pray.

Do check back on a daily basis, and join us as we prepare for the birth of Jesus.

St George's Church at the West End Village Show

This year St George’s, Christ Church and the Parish as a whole will again be a part of the West End Village Show on Saturday 26 August.  We will be offering teas in the Village Hall and the legendary cake and bread stalls in St George’s.

Last year we raised just over £2,000. We would like to do even better and welcome help from anybody with anything and for any amount of time.

Of course if you’re not sure if you can help just make it a date in your diary and come along for some simple Summer fun. And like us cross everything that the sun keeps on shining for us!
