Award-winning Swiss cellist Timothée Botbol has performed extensively as both a soloist and orchestral musician, recently performing with the Geneva Conservatoire String Orchestra as guest soloist on tour in Italy and appearing in the Sunday recital series at Hampton Court Palace. He will be coming to Esher fresh from a competition triumph, having just won the Special Grand Prize at the Augustin Aponte International Music Competition in Tenerife.
His accompanist Rachel Chen is an alumna of both Chetham's School of Music and Vassar College in upstate New York, and is currently studying for her Masters at the Royal College of Music.
Timothée’s programme will include the spectacular solo sonata by Kodály, as well as some music by Schumann and Debussy.
