Historic St George's Church
Needs your support for major restoration work

St George’s Church was built in 1879 on land granted by Queen Victoria, and overlooks the green and ponds in West End. It is one of the few remaining ‘iron churches’ or ‘tin tabernacles’, and is very much a living church, used for regular worship, weddings, baptisms, funerals and the village Christmas carol concert! And we have worked hard over the decades to preserve what was originally a temporary structure intended to last just 15 years!

​We are delighted that the Flower Show & Fête is back at West End on the Green after a two-year break and will be held on Saturday 27 August on the August Bank Holiday weekend!   Do please put the date in your diaries.

Historic St George’s Church will be open for the show.  Come and buy homemade cakes and goodies. Please come in and help us raise funds for the repair and renovation of your church.
