Easter Crazy Crafts
10am, Lower Green Community Centre
Drop in anytime, 10am-1pm, for free family fun!
We invite you to our annual family-friendly Easter crafting extravaganza! Come any time 10am-1pm to Lower Green Community Centre (Recreation Ground, KT10 8AU) to make a myriad of Easter creations to gift to others and decorate your home. Little ones get a goodie bag and the chance to decorate yummy biscuits. Entry is free! It’s a fun-filled event not to be missed.
Mothering Sunday, 15 March

We give thanks for all our mothers and everyone who has played a nurturing and caring role in our lives, while acknowledging those who find this day difficult. We’ll welcome the choir of Esher Church School in a service for all ages and give daffodil posies to all who care.

Music on the Green
1.15pm, Christ Church, EsherOur series of free lunchtime concerts takes place in Christ Church on the third Wednesday of every month, with a light buffet lunch beforehand. We recently enjoyed ‘Songs from the Shows’, and our March line-up will be a violin & piano duo.

At the start of Holy Week, we all process into church holding palm crosses, adults and children alike, so joining the crowds welcoming Jesus’ triumphal ride into Jerusalem as both Saviour and King.

Music in the Tower

For this annual calendar highlight, the Christ Church Tower Room hosts an audience of 20 in four separate sittings. Our theme this year is ‘Medieval Muses & The Age of Mysticism’ and we look forward to “transcendent medieval-inspired music for modern times” on voice and harp from the early music virtuoso David Yardley. Book your seats via the Parish Office without delay!
Maundy Thursday, 2 April
Maundy Thursday Service
8pm, Christ Church, Esher
We commemorate Jesus’ Last Supper with his disciples. We reflect on his New Commandment to love one another in acts of service, and give thanks that he is still present for us in the bread and wine of communion. As we prepare to remember Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, the church is stripped of its decorations and those who wish gather with him in our Lady Chapel in silent prayer.

On this most solemn day in the church year we gather quietly for an hour of meditation and music at the foot of the Cross, remembering Jesus’ sacrifice.
Easter Sunday, 5 April
Easter Day Services

With joy, during the services we move from darkness to light. Holding candles we ignite the Easter Fire as we proclaim the Resurrection, renew our Baptism vows, and receive the living Christ in union with all who love him on Earth and in Heaven.
