Harvest Services

Harvest Services at Esher Church School & St George's, West End

Our Harvest Service at Esher Church School will be on Sunday 7 October at 10.30am. There will also be a Harvest Service at St George's Church, West End at 9am.

This year we are raising funds for Tearfund. Tearfund is a Christian charity called to follow Jesus wherever the need is greatest. They work to help communities around the world escape the very worst effects of poverty and disaster.

Tearfund listens: helping people to rise out of their poverty, utilising their resourcefulness and determination. Tearfund works alongside local churches and other locally-based organisations to help realise these plans for a better future.’  In ten years, they have reached more than 32 million people through their community development work and more than 13 million through their response to disasters.

In addition we will be collecting for the local East Elmbridge foodbank. The following items are goods they have advised they urgently need: coffee, cooking oil and tomato sauce. They require toiletries - soap, shampoo, toothpaste, shower gel. Also cleaning products - washing-up liquid, washing powder, kitchen and bathroom cleaner. They have plenty of beans, pasta, tinned spaghetti, tomato soup, drinks, biscuits and jam so please avoid giving these items.

In Tearfund’s words: ‘We’re Christians passionate about ending poverty.

We look forward to welcoming you to our services.
